A Three Day Week!

Dearest parents, I hope that you enjoyed your unexpected snow days! I truly did! We have a short week this week.  As usual, we still have miles and miles to go before we sleep. Here are a few updates for this week.

Our Spelling Test

Due to our short week, we will not have our usual spelling test on Friday. Our new spelling list was given out today, and students will have until Monday to practice their words.  Please make sure that your child is ready to take their spelling test on Monday, February 23, 2015. Our next new list of words will be given on this day and next Friday we will be back on schedule.

Academic Progress

Today, progress reports will go home. Please take a moment to review how your student is doing in each subject area. Also, please pay close attention to the back of the progress report. The back shows AR progress as well as how students are doing with their behavior and effort. We have about 3 more weeks before the end of this grading period. Please encourage your child to strongly finish this nine weeks.

Multiplication Facts

We are continuing to work on our multiplication facts. Many students have worked exceptionally hard. Not only have they mastered their multiplication facts, but they have moved onto division and finished those as well. Please encourage your child to continue working on these. Multiplication facts are one of the most fundamental math skills a child will learn to help with math in the future.
