Happenings for the Week of September 3, 2012

Testing

Please remember that we will be taking the COGAT Test September 4 - 6.  ITBS Testing will be September 7 and 10-13.  


Homework
We will not have spelling homework this week or next week.  Students will need to complete their reading logs and math sheet each night.

Accelerated Reader 

Please make sure that your child is reading AR books and taking AR tests.  Each student has a goal that is written on the bottom of their reading logs.  Each week their progress is noted on the back of the reading log.  

Social Studies Test 

Friday, students will take their first Social Studies Test. This test will be on democracy.  The study sheet will come home tomorrow. Please help your students prepare for this test.  

 

Parent Orientation Tonight

Tonight is Parent Orientation Night.  We will have two sessions.  The first session is from 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm.  The second session will be 7:20 pm - 7:50 pm.  Please come and find out more about the happenings in our classroom.  I look forward to seeing you there.

Welcome to our classroom blog.  This is the very first post.  This blog has been set up for parents and teachers to have the opportunity to keep current with the happenings in our classroom. I will try to post at least weekly to make sure that you know what is happening in our classroom.  This week we will have our Parent Orientation Session.  Please come and join us and learn about the routines and happenings in our class.
